I portray the first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, in presentation-based and conversation-based interactive educational and civic performances, as well as social events.

The themes of these include:

-Hamilton’s life and thought

-Hamilton’s interactions with the lives and thought of other Founding Fathers, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison

-American political life from the 1770s to the 1800s

-American political theory and national identity

-Civic education and active citizenship

If you would like to facilitate a customized Alexander Hamilton performance for your school group, honors program, civic group, historical society, museum, or other organization, please contact me.

I have performed alongside acclaimed reenactors including Daniel Shippey, James Harrison III, and B.J. Pryor, and am expanding my reenacting work over the course of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.

Reviews

Luke Nathan Phillips’ portrayal of Alexander Hamilton is nothing short of outstanding. His remarkable command of Hamilton’s writings, combined with a deep understanding of the Founding Father’s relationships with other leaders of the American Revolution, allows him to bring one of America’s most fascinating statesmen vividly to life.

At our immersive Patriots & Petticoats Charity Ball, Luke remained completely in character from the moment he arrived until the evening concluded. With graceful bows, polished 18th-century manners, and captivating conversation, he transported our guests back to the Revolutionary era. Whether exchanging clever banter with fellow Founding Fathers, engaging in spirited discussions about politics, war, and the birth of the nation, or inviting ladies to dance elegant reels and allemandes, every interaction felt authentic and effortless. Guests frequently paused to listen, delighted by the unscripted conversations unfolding around them.

What sets Luke apart is his ability to make history feel alive. His portrayal extends far beyond reciting historical facts—he embodies Hamilton’s ambition, intellect, wit, and social grace, creating memorable moments that educate as much as they entertain. His improvisational skills and unwavering commitment to historical authenticity enriched every aspect of our event and left a lasting impression on our guests.

Luke is a consummate professional whose passion for living history shines through in every performance. He was an absolute highlight of our event, and our DAR chapter wholeheartedly recommends him to anyone seeking an exceptional historical interpreter. We look forward to welcoming him back for many future programs.
